Pharrell Williams and Miley Cyrus to play Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium

Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding and Sam Smith will also perform at Capital FM gig in London

Pharrell Williams and Miley Cyrus have been confirmed for Capital FM’s Summertime Ball.

The one-day event will take place at Wembley Stadium in London on June 21, with Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding and Sam Smith also set to perform.

Other artists on the bill include Rita Ora, Clean Bandit, Ed Sheeran, Duke Dumont, The Vamps, 5 Seconds Of Summer, David Guetta, Cheryl Cole, Jessie J, Union J, Enrique Iglesias and Little Mix. Speaking about his appearance at the gig, Pharrell said: “I dress a little different. I love the girls and I enjoy coming to England. The Summertime Ball… I mean, come on, it’s going to be unreal!”

Miley Cyrus’ appearance at the Summertime Ball will follow the British leg of her Bangerz tour, which kicked off in London on Tuesday (May 6).

The show at the O2 Arena started with the singer arriving onstage by skidding down a pink, tongue-shaped slide protruding from a huge image of her face. She then introduced herself to the crowd, saying: “Hello, motherfuckers! I’m not going down without a motherfucking fight!”

Tickets for the Capital FM Summertime Ball are available tomorrow (May 9) at 8am. To check the availability of Summertime Ball tickets and get all the latest listings, head to NME.COM/tickets.
