Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’ is on course for a second week at Number One

Disclosure are also set to break into the Top 10

Daft Punk are on course for a second week at Number One in the official UK singles chart with comeback single ‘Get Lucky’.

The track, featuring Pharrell Williams and Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers, has already sold 71,000 copies this week, outselling Rudimental’s ‘Waiting All Night’ by two copies to one in the midweek update. Disclosure currently have the highest new entry at Number 10 with ‘You & Me’, according to the Official Charts Company. Their previous hit ‘White Noise’, featuring AlunaGeorge, peaked at Number Two earlier this year.

A young Liverpool teenager who tragically lost his life last September following a coach crash on the way home from Bestival on the Isle Of Wight is also on course for a Top 30 entry. Michael Molloy, 18, was one of three people who died in the tragedy and his song ‘Rise And Fall’, which was written by Michael a year earlier and recorded by his friend Alex Evans, is currently at Number 26.

Meanwhile, in the album chart, Rudimental’s debut album ‘Home’ looks set to dethrone Michael Buble’s ‘To Be Loved’ from the Number One spot. The debut release from the Hackney four-piece has already spawned two chart-toppers including last summer’s ‘Feel The Love’.
