Mallorca Rocks to close for business at the end of the summer

The Ibiza Rocks off-shoot will bow out after a final gig from The Kooks

Mallorca Rocks will close for business at the end of this summer.

The series of gigs and Mallorca Rocks Hotel – an offshoot of Ibiza Rocks – will cease trading after the final gig of the season at the Magaluf resort. The last ever Mallorca Rocks show will be headed up by The Kooks on September 9.

Andy McKay, the founder and CEO of the Ibiza Rocks Group has released a statement about the end of Mallorca Rocks, which reveals new developments on the island of Ibiza. It reads: “As the Ibiza Rocks Group expands with exciting new hotel and event projects in Ibiza and beyond, our strategic agenda has changed and the time is right for us to move on at the end of the summer season. We are really proud of what we have brought to the Mallorcan resort of Magaluf but we are pulling out of the resort in September. We will concentrate on building our Ibizan infrastructure and our global expansion plan and feel this is the right movement at the right moment for the Ibiza Rocks brand.”
