2 Chainz, Sean Paul and Angel Haze top the bill at BBC 1Xtra Live in London

Professor Green and Emeli Sandé were among the 8,000 strong audience at Hammersmith Apollo

Sean Paul, Angel Haze and Georgia rapper 2 Chainz topped an all-star bill at London’s Hammersmith Apollo last night (October 8) as part of BBC 1Xtra’s sixth annual ‘1Xtra Live’ series of shows.

More than 8,000 people were in attendance to watch dancehall artist Sean Paul play a hit-packed set. Emerging on stage to a reggae rendition of Europe’s ‘The Final Countdown’, he launched straight into 2011 single ‘Got 2 Luv U’ and his 2002 hit ‘Gimme the Light’, before later closing the set with new track ‘Turn It Up’.

2 Chainz also appeared, performing his verses from tracks by Kanye West (‘Mercy’) and Nicki Minaj (‘Beez in the Trap’) as well as solo songs ‘Feds Watching’, ‘I’m Different’ and ‘Birthday Song’.

Professor Green and Emeli Sandé were among the guests to appear during Naughty Boy’s opening set, performing a new version of ‘Lifted’ from the British producer’s recent debut album, ‘Hotel Cabana’. The DJ, playing with a full live band, also aired a slow, soulful cover of Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’.

1Xtra Live continues tonight at Liverpool Echo Arena with sets from Robin Thicke, Nelly, Iggy Azalea and John Newman, before concluding tomorrow (October 10) at Leeds’ First Direct Arena with performances from Rudimental, Azealia Banks and Wretch 32. Katy B, Chase and Status and drum ‘n’ bass star Sub Focus opened this year’s set of 1Xtra Shows on Monday (October 7) at Bournemouth International Centre.

1Xtra Live has previously seen headline appearances from the likes of Plan B, Rita Ora and Dizzee Rascal.
