Palma Violets, Wolf Alice, Drenge and more to play the Yorkshire event

Live At Leeds 2014 begins today (May 2) with the likes of Wolf Alice, Drenge, Frank Turner, Los Campesinos! and more set to perform across the bank holiday weekend.

The festival kicks off with three gigs across the city tonight. Brighton duo Blood Red Shoes will perform at The Cockpit, while Melt Yourself Down will put on a full A/V show at Brudenell Social Club and Snarky Puppy will appear at The Wardrobe.

Saturday (May 3) will see bands such as Albert Hammond Jr, Fat White Family, Frank Turner, Lizzo, Los Campesinos! and more play across Leeds’ venues as part of the main event. Yesterday (May 1) Palma Violets were announced as special guests at the festival, where they will play an intimate set at The Faversham.

NME will also be represented at the annual event with Drenge, Wolf Alice and Circa Waves set to play live on the NME Stage at The Cockpit on Saturday May 3. The full line-up for the NME stage at The Cockpit is completed by The Bohicas, Darlia, George Barnett, Little Matador, The Mexanines, Carnabell and The Midnight Beast. Doors open at 12pm.

Kodaline will then appear at the O2 Academy on Sunday (May 4) as the festival comes to a close. Dum Dum Girls and Crocodiles will also play at the Brudenell Social Club while Californian post-metal group Neurosis will headline at Leeds Met.
