Reading and Leeds weather update: rain predicted with dry, sunny spells in between

Queens Of The Stone Age, Paramore, Arctic Monkeys and Blink-182 will headline the weekender

Music fans attending Reading and Leeds this weekend can expect conditions to stay dry for most of the festivals’ duration, with some rain predicted at both sites.

The festival kicks off on Friday (August 22) with headline performances from Queens Of The Stone Age, Paramore, Arctic Monkeys and Blink-182 across the weekend.

Weather site The Weather Network are forecasting showers at Reading on the Friday. Saturday currently looks set to be dry with sunny spells while Sunday should be largely dry, with rain predicted later in the day.

Meanwhile, BBC Weather suggests the Leeds leg of the twin festivals will be slightly soggier with rain due to fall on Friday and Saturday afternoon. Sunday should be drier and brighter but nightfall could see more showers.

Organisers behind both events have confirmed stage times for the Main Stage and NME/Radio 1 Stage. Other artists set to play the festivals include Peace, Wolf Alice, Vampire Weekend, Disclosure, Jake Bugg, Royal Blood, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Orwells, The Horrors and many more.
