Kate Moss has released a single entitled ‘Day & Night’ – scroll down to listen.
The track, written by Canadian DJ Brendan Fallis, features the singer speaking various phrases over beats and saxophone parts.
The vocals themselves are taken from the supermodel’s recent Stuart Weitzman campaign film, claims Vogue magazine, and finds Moss talking about fashion and her own celebrity. Lines from the track include “I think thigh-high boots are especially sexy and glamorous, especially if you wear them with a short skirt”, “driving in a posh car day and night” and “people are a bit shocked to see me walking down the street”. The song also ends with a saxophone solo.
Kate Moss has previously made several other musical appearances in the past. In 2005 she guested on Babyshambles track ‘La Belle et La Bete’ during her then-relationship with Pete Doherty and is also credited as a co-writer on the band’s tracks ‘You Talk’, ‘Baddie’s Boogie’, ‘Deft Left Hand’ and ‘French Dog Blues’. She also appeared on Oasis track ‘Fade Away’, Primal Scream’s cover of Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood’s ‘Some Velvet Morning’ and The Lemonheads’ ‘You’re A Robot’.
