Father Bob Geldof expected to lead tributes to late daughter

The funeral of Peaches Geldof will take place later today (April 21).

The 25-year-old journalist and socialite was found dead at her home in Wrotham, Kent on two weeks ago (April 7). Police said at the time that her death was being treated as “non-suspicious but unexplained and sudden”.

BBC News reports that Geldof’s father, Sir Bob Geldof, will lead the tributes with sister Pixie also expected to speak. The funeral will take place in Davington, near Faversham, in Kent in the same church Peaches married husband Thomas Cohen in September 2012. It is also the same church where the funeral for her mother, Paula Yates, was held in 2000.

A post-mortem carried out following Geldof’s death proved inconclusive, pending toxicology tests. The tests could take weeks to come through.

Mother to Astala Geldof–Cohen (aged one) and Phaedra Geldof-Cohen (11 months old).
