Fall Out Boy, Missy Elliott and Wolf Alice to appear on Ghostbusters soundtrack

Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott appear to be collaborating

The soundtrack for the upcoming Ghostbusters movie is set to feature a collaborative track from Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott as well as appearances from 5 Seconds of Summer, G-Eazy ft Jeremih, Walk The Moon and Wolf Alice.

The Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott collaborative track could be the theme tune, with Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz tweeting the clue.

Writing on twitter, Wentz tweeted: “crossed one off the kid dream bucket list by covering Ray Parker theme with missy Elliot verse”.

5 Seconds of Summer tweeted about their inclusion on the soundtrack, revealing the title of their song to be ‘Girls Talk Boys’. The single will be available to pre-order from tomorrow.

Directed by Bridesmaids’ director Paul Feig, Ghostbusters stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. The first trailer became the most disliked trailer on YouTube.

Defending the critics, original Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd said: “As originator of the original: Saw test screening of new movie. Apart from brilliant, genuine performances from the cast both female and male, it has more laughs and more scares than the first 2 films plus Bill Murray is in it! As one of millions of man-fans and Ray Stantz, I’m paying to see that and bringing all my friends!”

The film is released in cinemas on July 15.
