Trio of stars unite at party to celebrate DJ Howard Stern's 60th birthday

The performance saw the Foo Fighters frontman team up with Aerosmith’s Tyler for a rendition of the band’s 1975 original with Slash on guitar. Rolling Stone reports that the trio united for Stern’s star-studded 60th birthday party last week at a party held at New York’s Roseland Ballroom.

Stern’s 60th also saw performances from John Mayer, The Black Keys and Jon Bon Jovi while Dave Grohl sang acoustic versions of ‘Everlong’ and ‘My Hero’ before the ‘Walk This Way’ performance. Helmed by chat show host Jimmy Kimmel, the party also saw stars such as Sarah Silverman, Lena Dunham and Louis CK pay tribute to the DJ.

Meanwhile, Footage of Dave Grohl cut short by the closing creditsrehearsing for the Grammy Awards with Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, Josh Homme and Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham has been revealed.

The group of musicians united for the closing slot at the event at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles last month (January 26), but their performance was cut short by the closing credits and a commercial break.
