Girl Band have unveiled a stream of their new single ‘The Cha Cha Cha’, which clocks in at just 25 seconds long. Scroll down to listen now.
The song follows their previous single ‘Lawman’ and will be released on Record Store Day, which this year falls on April 19, via Any Other City. The single is to be printed on a limited run of 100 flexidiscs presented in wooden boxes, which will be stocked in independent stores including Rough Trade East in London.
Speaking about the brief song, Dara Kiely from the band commented: “It’s a short, hardcore-y song. We have a few of them in the set. For some reason it took three days to record. That’s about eight seconds a day!” Kiely also labelled the tune as “anti-climatic” and said that the band have traditionally opted to use it to close their live sets.
The band will perform at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton on May 10 and are also confirmed for Primavera Sound in Barcelona on May 29.
