Wild Beasts, Caribou, The War On Drugs and more to play
The headliners have been announced for the tenth edition of Liverpool Music Week, which takes place across two venues in the city during October and November
Wild Beasts, The War On Drugs, Mogwai and Caribou are the first headline acts to be confirmed for the event. The gigs will take place at Camp & Furnace and O2 Academy, with Caribou performing at the festival’s opening party. Dan Snaith’s band will be supported by Evian Christ, Patten and Jessy Lanza.
The festival’s director Mike Deane said of this year’s event: “We are thrilled to announce our first wave of headliners for this our very special 10th anniversary edition. Both the festival and the city have come a long way in the past decade, and that’s not only reflected by the incredible headliners that we are so excited to announce in Mogwai, Caribou and Wild Beasts – but also through some of the international partnerships, collaborations and commissions that we will be announcing over the coming months, that will marry perfectly and work alongside this incredible city’s buzzing current music scene.”
Promoters ATP are amongst those to be involved with the partnerships in festival. Meanwhile, venue the Kazimier will act as the Festival Hub, hosting free shows and discounted events.
Last year’s Liverpool Music Week attracted 48,000 people to the city. More bands, shows and partnerships will be announced in the coming weeks, including the festival’s closing party.
