Field Day, Underage, The Apple Cart festivals move dates because of 2012 Olympics

The East London events will now be held in June

London’s Field Day, Underage and The Apple Cart festivals have had to change their dates because of the London 2012 Olympics, which is taking place in nearby Stratford.

The three one day festivals, which are usually held on consecutive days in Victoria Park in August, will now take place at the start of June.

The events will now coincide with the Diamond Jubilee June bank holiday weekend, with Field Day taking place on Saturday June 2 and The Apple Cart on Sunday June 3. The date of Underage is still to be confirmed.

This summer Warpaint – pictured right – Anna Calvi, James Blake and Zola Jesus all played Field Day, as well as The Horrors, The Coral and Gruff Rhys.

Meanwhile, Bombay Bicycle Club, Janelle Monae and Brother all performed at Underage Festival.
