Jedward threaten to represent Ireland at Eurovision again

Duo claim they've got a better song lined up than 'Lipstick'

Jedward have claimed they’re being lined up to represent Ireland at Eurovision for the second year in a row.

The irritating pop duo, who finished eighth in this year’s contest, told MTV that they’re set to do it all over again in 2012. And they’ve also promised their new track will be better than their entry this year, ‘Lipstick’.

John Grimes commented:

Guess what? We’re gonna be doing Eurovision 2012. It’s totally awesome. Next year its gonna be even bigger and better.

He added that Louis Walsh, their mentor during their appearance on The X Factor in 2009, has already lined up a number of songs for the duo.

Eurovision 2012 will be held in May in Azerbaijan, after the country’s Ell & Nikki won last year’s contest with their song ‘Running Scared’.

Earlier this year, Jedward requested a collaboration with their fellow Irishmen U2 in a YouTube clip. They also asked if they could purchase the cranes used on Bono and co’s recent world tour.

U2 are yet to publicly respond to either request.
