Hollywood actor also dedicates Bob Dylan's 'The Man In Me' to his wife

Actor Jeff Bridges debuted tracks from his forthcoming, self-titled studio album in Los Angeles last night (June 29).

The star, who was backed by a four-man band, performed at the Troubadour in front of fellow Hollywood A-listers Pierce Brosnan, Ryan Reynolds and Olivia Wilde.

He played a mix of songs from his new record alongside tracks from the 2009 movie Crazy Heart, for which he won an Oscar depicting a washed up country singer.

Of the new tracks, he performed ‘Slow Boat’, before later dedicating a cover of Bob Dylan‘s ‘The Man In Me’ to his wife Sue.

Bridges is due to release his new album on August 16 in the UK. He released his debut album ‘Be Here Soon’, in 2001.

Musicians on the album include guitarist Mark Ribot, bassist Dennis Crouch, pedal steel guitarist Russ Pahl, keyboardist Keefus Ciancia and drummer Jay Bellerose. It’s set to feature backing vocals from Rosanne Cash and Sam Phillips.
