Ministry Of Sound launch petition to try and save London club

UK Music Chief Feargal Sharkey backs petition

Ministry Of Sound have launched a petition to try and save their flagship London club from closing.

The Southwark club, which has been open for 18 years, faces the threat of closure due to proposals from developers Oakmayne, who want to build a residential building opposite the venue, thus threatening its entertainment license.

Now a petition has been launched by the dance label at in an attempt to keep it open. The petition has been backed by music industry umbrella group UK Music‘s chief Feargal Sharkey, formerly of The Undertones.

Ministry Of Sound is a London landmark, a UK success story and a globally recognised brand,” he said. “Any threat to such a core part of its business should be considered very carefully.”
