Plus comedy trio do a little dance for NME.COM
The Midnight Beast got the Reading Festival moshing to lyrics about former prime minister Gordon Brown as they took over the event’s Alternative Stage.
The arena is usually reserved for comedians and debates, but the trio, who mix comedy and songs, rivalled the music stage with one of the weekend’s biggest crowds.
“There was a mosh pit during a verse about the prime minister and the government, it was mental,” Ashley Home told NME in a backstage video interview you can watch on the right now.
“I guess it must piss people off so much if people get down to that,” added Stefan Abingdon, explaining that they even got an encore at the end of the afternoon set on Friday (August 27).
