Millionaires attempting to turn online hits into real fans
A US pop group who claim to have racked up over 37 million views on their MySpace page are attempting to convert their online ‘hits’ into British fans.
Named Millionaires, Melissa Marie Green, Allison Green and Dani Artaud are set to play a handful of dates in the UK this month to showcase their self-styled “porno pop”.
The band’s tracks, including ‘Just Got Paid, Let’s Get Laid’, have featured as soundtracks on US TV programmes including Teen Cribs and A Double Shot At Love, though it’s the band’s online following that has marked them out among US pop groups.
“Since day one, we’ve always had tons of internet attention which we’re so fucking thankful to our fans for. People obviously can’t get enough of us, so they keep coming back for more,” Melissa Marie suggested to NME.COM of the band’s online views. “Our music is all about bills, booze and boys. Who doesn’t like to fucking party?”
The trio play a handful of UK shows this month.
