Former Pussycat Dolls singer will present alongside T4 man Steve Jones

Former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger has signed up to present the US version of The X Factor.

The singer will host the show with T4 presenter Steve Jones when it launches later this year, US channel Fox has confirmed.

Scherzinger, who was a guest judge on the UK version of the show last year, said she is “thrilled” with her new job, reports BBC News.

Fox president Mike Darnell commented: “Nicole is a triple-threat performer who knows how to captivate an audience, and Steve is an accomplished presenter whose original sense of humour has charmed viewers worldwide.”

Earlier this week, it was announced that show supremo Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole would be leaving the UK’s X Factor to appear on the judging panel of the US version.

Tabloid reports have suggested that Take That’s Gary Barlow is line to replace Cowell on the ITV 1 show, with Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland being touted for Cole‘s old spot.

It’s been claimed that Cowell quit the UK version of the show after his family expressed health concerns over his hectic schedule.
