Courteeners to play intimate Manchester Shockwaves NME Awards Show

Liam Fray's band to headline Ruby Lounge venue

The Courteeners are set to play an intimate Shockwaves NME Awards show at the Manchester Ruby Lounge on February 16.

Liam Fray and co will headline the 375-capacity venue, with tickets set to be sold on a first-come, first-served basis to fans who attend the venue box office. They will be sold this Saturday (January 30) from 10am (GMT).

“Let’s face it, it’s Manchester so it’s going to rain while people are queuing, so wrap up warm,” suggested Fray for those looking to bag the best spots before the box office opens. “Take a friend, perhaps one of the opposite sex so you can have a good cuddle if it gets really cold!”

Delphic, British Sea Power, Yeasayer, Hole and Babyshambles are among the other acts playing Shockwaves NME Awards Shows in February.
