National Fraud Intelligence Bureau arrests ticketing website owners

Police collect intelligence from 250 suspected victims

The City Of London Police‘s new National Fraud Intelligence Bureau has arrested four people suspected of being behind a fraudulent ticketing website called Gigsport.com.

Three men and one woman were arrested as a result of Operation Cyborg, which the bureau launched after collection intelligence of 250 alleged victims of the website, reports BBC News.

The arrests are the first for the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau, which was launched on June 16.

Gigsport.com was still online on Friday (August 13) morning. The site says it offers tickets for events including V Festival and gigs by Roger Waters and U2.
