Taylor Swift Number One in US for seventh week

It's the first album in four years to maintain spot

Country-pop singer Taylor Swift is Number One in the US for the seventh week running, with her album ‘Fearless’.

Despite the fact that the album, the follow-up to the 19-year-old singer’s self-titled debut, sold just 63,000 copies last week, it still managed to beat Beyonce’s ‘I Am….Sasha Fierce’ by 14,000 sales, says Variety.

The last album to hold on to the top spot for seven weeks was Usher’s ‘Confessions’ in 2004.

The soundtrack to the film ‘Notorious’, based on the life of Notorious BIG, entered the charts at Number Four. As well as songs by the late rapper, it also features new material from Jay-Z.
