The band say it's their last time ever at the festival
Legendary London rockers Thunder announced during their Tuborg Stage set this afternoon (June 13) that the show would be the last time they played Download.
To a rammed tent, which saw hundreds of people unable to get in, frontman Danny Bowes said: “Just before I go any further I just wanna say this is the very last time we’ll play this festival.”
Bowes then paid tribute to Download‘s predecessor, Monsters Of Rock, which took place in Castle Donington in the 1980s and early 1990s, and which he said had put the band “on the map”.
The band, who came on at 6.40pm [BST], also covered The Spencer Davis Group‘s ‘Gimme Some Lovin” in their set.
‘River Of Pain’
‘Gimme Some Lovin”
‘The Devil Made Me Do It’
‘Love Walked In’
‘I Love You More Than Rock’n’Roll’
