Nickleback singer pleads guilty to driving charge

Chad Kroeger was 'pleasant' when arrested though

Nickelback‘s Chad Kroeger pleaded not guilty to impaired driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.08 yesterday (November 22).

The minimum sentence on conviction is a £300 ($600) fine and a one-year driving ban.

Kroeger was pulled over on June 22 when a policeman noticed the smell of alcohol coming from the car, and ordered Kroeger to take a breathalyzer test.

He failed the test and was taken to the Surrey RCMP Detachment to undergo a more thorough test, which put Kroeger‘s blood-alcohol level at 0.14, above the legal limit of 0.08.

According to the officer, Kroeger was pleasant but concerned about leaving his car unattended in a city with a reputation for car theft.

The trial is set to continue, reports Canada.com.
