The show will also feature a screening of the band's movie

Canadian metal band Anvil are set to play a one-off gig at London‘s Dirty Boots club night.

Fans can also watch a screening of the band’s forthcoming rockumentary, ‘The Story Of Anvil’ during the night, which takes place at Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes on February 18.

Audience members are given a choice of three screenings of the film (6pm, 7:30pm and 9pm GMT). After that, Anvil will take to the stage at 10:30pm (GMT).

Anvil are also in the running to play this year’s Glastonbury, after fans launched an online petition to get them onto the 2009 bill.

Organiser Emily Eavis recently told NME.COM she had seen the fans’ campaign and had taken note.

“We’re aware of the Anvil documentary and I’ve seen the petition online, so it’s definitely something we’ll consider,” she said. “We have room and there’s still time. Whatever happens I hope we can get the film for the festival, so they should be at Glastonbury in some form or other.”
