Exit Ten play stripped down Download acoustic set

Metal band say it’s harder than they expected

Reading metallers Exit Ten played early evening guerilla gig today (June 14).

Sitting on amps and leather box stools the three band members, who only found out the gig was happening 45 minutes before their performance, took to the tiny Jagermeister tent stage just after 7.30pm (BST).

Playing a short three track set, before Saxon begun their show in the tent next door, the trio admitted to the crowd they weren’t used to playing acoustic sets.

Lead singer Ryan Redman said: “We haven’t done this before as we’re pretty much a metal band but we’ll give it a go.”

The trio then launched into their first song.

After the first track Redman thanked the small crowd saying: “Cheers this is a lot harder than I thought it would be.”

The bar man then handed the band shots of Jagermeiester and Redman laughed: “That will definitely help!”
