Hinterland announces first bands for 2009 festival

Glasgow event kicks off line-up with first list

Glasgow festival Hinterland have announced the first part of the line-up for 2009.

The event, which takes place across 15 venues in the city and runs from April 30 until May 1, sees 80 bands playing across the two days.

20 of the 30 bands so far announced are from Scotland, as “organisers are keen to ensure that around 50 per cent of the final line-up is Scottish so that local talent gets showcased at Hinterland“.
