The rap mogul is released from prison...

DEATH ROW RECORDS boss MARION ‘SUGE’ KNIGHT has been released from jail after serving alomst five years… and has promised to head straight to the studio.

The heavyweight rap mogul, sentenced to nine years for parole violations in 1996, was freed from a federal prison in Shedidan, Oregon yesterday morning (August 6). He immediately boarded a ‘plane for Los Angeles.

“I’m stress-free,” Knight told the LA Times yesterday. “I want to try to do better things. Watch me. I’m going to the studio tonight.” On arriving in the city, Knight made for his company offices in the Beverly Hills district. He was greeted by a huge billboard reading ‘Welcome Home Suge’.

“Better days is coming, man,” he said. “It’s like we’re getting ready for the Superbowl. We going to start having some fun again.”

Knight had been moved from the high security Mule Creek State Prison in Ione California on April 20 to Sheridan, in preparation for his release. He violated his probation during a brawl in September 1996 in a Las Vegas hotel. Hours after the brawl, that also involved Tupac Shakur, Tupac was shot dead.
