Dean already has an appearance at V2001 lined up...

‘BIG BROTHER’ runner-up DEAN has spoken exclusively to NME.COM about his upcoming appearance at V2001 and his potential future as a rock star.

Dean O’Loughlin, who made it to the final day of ‘Big Brother’ last Friday, has since avoided the media to spend time with girlfriend Vanessa.

But he invited NME.COM into his Kensington hotel room the day after leaving the house to talk about his music career.

The 37-year-old from Birmingham, who finished third, famously played his acoustic guitar throughout the nine weeks in the house.

“It was the most important thing I had,” Dean told NME.COM. “Even Helen and Brian who have never been exposed to that kind of music ended up enjoying it. I played a bit of Oasis and some Ray Davies. “

Dean plays guitar in a Birmingham band called Phoney (“David Bowie meets Kravitz kind of rock”) and was previously in another band, L Kage, which had a record deal with One Little Indian.

When he came out of the ‘Big Brother’ house, Dean was told that Richard Branson wanted him to play V2001.

He revealed: “That’s cool. I’m still waiting on the details, but I’ve been told it’s going to happen. Personally, I want to see Coldplay, the Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters – I love them.”
