MUSIQ SOUNDS BETTER WITH…MAXEE

The former member of Brownstone follows up her appearance with her debut solo single...

MUSIQ SOULCHILD is to be supported at his forthcoming LONDON gig (see NMESOUL.COM gig guide) by US songstress MAXEE.

Maxee, best known to soul heads as a member of the ’90s R&B trio Brownstone, will perform live on February 1 at Camden’s Jazz Cafe in anticipation of the release of her debut solo single, ‘When I Look Into Your Eyes’, which has been produced by Freddie Jerkins, brother of famed R&B producer Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins . Maxee recorded two albums with Brownstone – ‘From The Bottom Up’ and ‘Running On Empty’. The band were signed by Michael Jackson to his independent label in the early ’90s and scored their biggest hit with ‘If You Love Me’. Maxee’s solo album, ‘This Is Where I Wanna Be’, will drop in April. Look out for the video and interview shortly on NMESOUL.COM
