A$AP Ferg recently announced his second album ‘Always Strive and Prosper’ at the Tidal X: 10/20 event in New York. The record is expected out early next year, and the A$AP Mob member said of the album, “It’s more musical. It’s just me going out the box.”
He added, “It’s not really my box. If you know me and my music, I do whatever the fuck I want to do. But I feel like for people who expect a certain type of Ferg, they’re going to get something totally different.”
It’s been a tough year for members of hip-hop collective A$AP Mob, who lost founding member A$AP Yams at the age of 26 to acute mixed drug intoxication in January.
Although tragic, it seems that, although a shock, the news wasn’t a total surprise to friend A$AP Rocky, who told the New York Times, “He always had a struggle with drugs. That was his thing.”
Music luminaries Drake, Rihanna, Danny Brown, The Weeknd, Mark Ronson and Azealia Banks led tributes to the rap star.
