Of Mice & Men frontman ‘lucky to be alive’ after suffering electric shock from microphone

Austin Carlile admitted to hospital for 24 hours after incident

Of Mice & Men frontman Austin Carlile said he is “Lucky to be alive” after being electrocuted by a microphone.

The metal band member told Twitter followers about his accident yesterday (September 19) having spent the previous 24 hours in hospital receiving treatment.

Carlile did not clarify when or where he had received the shock but described it as a “close call” and comapred the impact to being hit by a truck.

The electric shock is the second time Carlile has been admitted to hospital this year. In June he was admitted for unconfirmed reasons, which forced the Californian metal band to cancel the final two dates of their ‘Full Circle Tour’.
