There will be no action from the NME Upstarts until next month...

Rising UK rock act Vex Red have postponed release of their new single and forthcoming debut album until late February and early March.

The band will now release ‘Can’t Smile’ on February 18, while their album ‘Start With A Strong And Persistent Desire’, produced by nu-metal guru Ross Robinson on March 4.

Vex Red completed their nationwide NME sponsored Upstart tour – with The Pattern and Crackout – in November. There are no confirmed dates available for a tour to support the album release at present.
