U2 frontman Bono teamed up with Coldplay‘s Chris Martin on last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live to cover ‘One for My Baby (and One More for the Road)’, with a special cameo from actor Sean Penn.

The US late-night show aired a special episode on Tuesday (November 28) in support of AIDS charity RED. During the episode, Bono and Martin covered the Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer song that was popularised by Frank Sinatra.

Meanwhile, U2’s new album ‘Songs Of Experience’ is out on Friday (December 1). Read the NME review here.

‘Songs Of Experience’ is the band’s 14th album and the follow-up and companion album to 2014’s ‘Songs Of Innocence’. It features lead single ‘You’re The Best Thing About Me’ and Kendrick Lamar collaboration ‘Get Out Of Your Own Way’.

NME‘s Mark Beaumont writes of ‘Songs Of Experience’: “U2 have built a stadium rock cruise liner they’ve zero interest in rocking, and ‘…Experience’ is 50 minutes of very plain sailing indeed.”

Earlier this month, it was announced that U2 were to become the first band to use Ticketmaster’s ‘Verified Fan’ system to sell all of the tickets for their forthcoming North American arena tour.
