Listen to an unreleased Weezer song, ‘Fake Smiles and Nervous Laughter’

The song will form half of a new split single with Wavves

Weezer have shared a previously-unreleased song, ‘Fake Smiles and Nervous Laughter’.

The new track will form half of a special split 7″ single with the San Diego band Wavves, while it will also feature on a special edition reissue of Weezer’s latest album, ‘The White Album’, as a bonus track.

‘Fake Smiles and Nervous Laughter’ was premiered earlier today (October 5) on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show. Listen to the new song below.

Back in August, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo was joined on stage by both his father and his daughter during the band’s recent North American tour.

Explaining the live collaboration, the band’s Instagram account revealed that Rivers’ dad is a keen musician.

“For only the second time, Rivers is joined by his dad Frank Cuomo on stage, at #irvinemeadows on 8/6/16. Frank was a jazz percussionist in NYC in the late 60’s, and brought a fine flavor to Beverly Hills, layering up sweetly over Pats massive backbeats.”
