Weezer join Sonisphere Festival bill – ticket details

Rivers Cuomo also announces plan to publish his diaries

Weezer have joined the bill for July’s Sonisphere Festival.

The hard rock festival, which takes place between July 8-10 at Knebworth Park, will be headlined by Biffy Clyro, Metallica and Slipknot.

Also joining the Sonisphere line-up are Australian rockers Airbourne, Architects and metallers Diamond Head. They join the likes of Anthrax, Megadeth, Motorhead and Slayer in playing the event.

Meanwhile Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo has also announced that he will release a book this year. The singer has confirmed that he has compiled his journal entries, school papers and letters from 1994–1997 for release later this year.

The project will be named The Pinkerton Diaries/Alone III, with Cuomo suggesting in a new online video that it will be released in March, probably online. Scroll down and click below to watch the video.
