Wiley, Example and Basement Jaxx lead huge Liverpool International Music Festival line-up for 2018

It's all for a pretty decent price, too...

Wiley ,Example and Basement Jaxx have been announced among the main acts for the sixth edition of the Liverpool International Music Festival for 2018.

The festival returns to Liverpool’s Sefton Park on July 21st and 22nd, and will see Manchester’s Haçienda Classiçal topping the Sunday night bill with a brand new set for 2018.

As for the rest of the line-up, it’s a steady mixture of the past and present, with pioneers Wiley and Basement Jaxx taking their place alongside new acts such as Rae Morris and Stefflon Don, and established names such as Example and DJ Wire.

Away from the main stage, the festival’s Shubz DJ Tent promises sets from DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jazzie B, Trevor Nelson and Gilles Peterson.

Yaw Owusu, LIMF Music Curator, said: “The line-up this year is really important as it not only reflects just how far LIMF has come in the past few years, but also showcases Liverpool’s bold contemporary musical voice and attitude.

“Our theme is Co-exist and Connection so it was essential the festival represented a diverse music offer which mixes classic and new sounds, established and emerging names, covering a myriad of genres and styles which is an honest reflection of what’s happening within music culture, not just locally, but on a global scale!”
