Country and jazz legends to release first album together

Willie Nelson and Wynton Marsalis have announced that they will release an album together this summer.

The country legend and the jazz icon have joined forces on their first collaborative album, ‘Two Men With The Blues’, which is due out in the US on July 8.

The album features 10 tracks including ‘Bright Lights Big City’ and ‘Basin Street Blues’ that were recorded during their first live performance together at New York’s Lincoln Center January 12 and 13, 2007.

The album sees them exploring “common ground in their love of jazz standards and the blues”, according to a statement.
