'The Fast And The Furious' actor Walker died in car accident this weekend
Wu Tang Clan rapper RZA has posted a tribute to Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker, who died aged 40 on Saturday.
Walker was the passenger in a Porsche car driven by a friend, who also died, when they were involved in an accident in Los Angeles over the weekend (November 31). RZA reveals in a note alongside the track, titled ‘Destiny Bends’, that he met Walker on the set of Brick Mansion, a new movie set for release in 2014.
Writing about the late actor, RZA states: “I only knew him personally for less than a year, but we knew each other through our work and art. We saw in each other a kindred spirit of men coming from unlikely circumstances, and rising to be the light and beacon of our family and loved ones. Men who learned the joy and pains of love in life, and success, while coming to realise that nothing is more important than family, friendship, and the brotherhood of humanity. Millions of people get to know an artist or movie star through their work, but few are allowed to cross each others’ paths and see through the veil of stardom and find the common denominator that we share.”
Walker has appeared in all but one of The Fast And The Furious film series, the sixth instalment was released in May this year (2013), and the seventh is currently in production. Walker starred in the films alongside Vin Diesel.
