Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon set for another collaboration with Nas?

New York rappers could hook up for a joint album, says Raekwon

Wu Tang Clan‘s Raekwon has hinted another collaboration with Nas could be in the works.

The New York rappers have previously worked together on tracks such as ‘Verbal Intercourse’ and ‘Rich and Black’. But in an interview with XXL Raekwon hinted that a full album could follow.

I mean, whatever Nas wants, that’s my nigga… As far as an album? We talked about that. Me and Nas sat down like real niggas like, ‘Yo, wassup! We need to do that!’ If everybody want that and me and him be able to sit in a room and business is correct and we both respecting what it is, I’m down.

Speaking of his relationship with the Nas, he said: “He’s a revolutionary such as myself and I look up to him and he looks up to me. He tells me this like, ‘Yo son, you like one of my only true friends.’ So it feels good to cover that department with a brother. Like a lot of relationships I have with artists, it ain’t just music. It’s brotherhood.”

Last month Nas said he wasn’t sure about recording the posthumous duet with Amy Winehouse which featured on the late singer’s album, ‘Lioness: Hidden Treasures’. “It’s a bittersweet feeling to do something with her now that she’s not here,” he said of the collaboration.

Nas’ 10th studio album, ‘Life Is Good’, is scheduled for release on July 17.
