CLAN SCAN!

GZA has been filming the group's progress recording their new album - should be interesting...

A WU-TANG CLAN documentary is in the pipeline after CLAN member GZA revealed he has been filming the group’s progress recording their third album ‘THE W’.

According to a report on [url=]www.mtv.com, GZA has been compiling footage since the group commenced work on ‘The W’ at the Wu Mansion in LA last Spring. The footage will be compiled at a later date, and possibly released.

GZA said: “A lot of it has to do with us in the kitchen – cookin’, throwin’ food, havin’ debates, speakin’ about things. With real fine editing, it could be nice. I’m trying to finish it up but as time goes on there is always more I want in there. Documentaries can sometimes be shot over 10 years. You plan to stop in two, but you still gotta catch more.”

‘The W’ is released on November 20 through Loud, and features guest performances from Isaac Hayes, Snoop Dogg, Redman, Nas and Junior Reed. It will be preceded by a new single, ‘Gravel Pit/Protect Ya Neck’ on November 13.

The Wu-Tang Clan are the cover stars of this week’s NME, in the shops now.
