WHITNEY HOUSTON, DESTINY’S CHILD and ERIC CLAPTON are among the artists who will share a stage at a benefit gig for the WYCLEF JEAN FOUNDATION.

As previously reported on NME.COM, the event takes place on January 19 at the Carnegie Hall in New York, making Wyclef the first hiphop artist to headline the prestigious venue.

Now the bill has been confirmed for the show, which will raise funds for Wyclef’s charity, which brings musical education to underprivileged children and young adults around the world. In addition to Whitney, Eric and Destiny’s Child, the show will also feature Charlotte Church and Third World, as well as ‘Clef’s Kids’, who are benefiting from his performing arts course.

The show will take the form of a revue of musical eras, from the 1930’s to the present day. It is part of a series of fund-raising events, which comprises two concerts and a party.
