‘Yodelling Kid’ Mason Ramsey releases debut single ‘Famous’

He's quite the romantic...

Mason Ramsey has released his debut single ‘Famous’, less than a month after the 11-year-old was catapulted to worldwide fame.

Ramsey became a online sensation after he was filmed performing a brilliantly unique rendition of Hank Williams’ ‘Lovesick Blues’ in the aisles of his local Wal-Mart in Illinois.

The performance transformed Ramsey into a star, resulting in an appearance on ‘Ellen’, as well as a surprise performance at Coachella – where he met Justin Bieber.

Now, he’s released his debut single, and it’s a laid back country track that sees the youngster reflecting on his new-found fame.

“It’s pretty cool to be on T.V, so all the folks back home can see me”, Ramsey sings at the beginning of ‘Famous’.

It then takes an unexpectedly tender direction, with the youngster proving himself to be quite the romantic.

“If I’m gonna be famous for somethin, I wanna be famous for lovin’ you”, Ramsey croons.

The track was released after Mason signed a record deal with Atlantic – having received some words of wisdom from Bieber.

“I’m so proud of you, it’s so awesome”, Bieber told Ramsey during their meeting.

“I like you a lot, you’re going to do big things.”
