My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way has unveiled his latest comic book at a four-day annual US fan convention.
The frontman, whose childhood dream was to become a comic book artist, showcased his new book 'Umbrella Academy' at the San Diego Comic-Con.
The Dark Horse graphic novel is based on seven misfits and their plight to protect the earth from certain doom.
Gerard has been illustrating for several years, and even went to college in the hope of becoming a comic book artist before he went on to form a band.
He also penned the artwork on My Chemical Romance's 2004 album 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge'.
'Umbrella Academy' is due out next year.
