My Chemical Romance in Warped Tour exhibit
No Doubt also feature at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced its first exhibit of 2007.
‘Warped: 12 Years of Music, Mayhem and More’ will feature memorabilia from numerous bands that have played on the Vans Warped Tour since its inception in 1995.
The exhibit runs from January 27 through September 3 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. The display will include items chronicling the history of the tour from artists such as My Chemical Romance, No Doubt, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, NOFX, New Found Glory, Joan Jett and others who have been affiliated with the tour.
A sold-out opening night party on January 26 will feature performances by Bad Religion, Pennywise, and Paramore.
"The Warped Tour truly helped bring the punk-rock skate culture into the view of mainstream society," said Jim Henke, chief curator at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. "The tour has also been responsible for launching the careers of many of today's top rock bands."
