My Chemical Romance and Muse have been caught up in a death threat scandal following the cancellation of several tour dates.

As previously reported both band had to cancel dates of their tour after members of their crew became “violently ill” after a gig in Virginia on April 29.

It has been established they suffered salmonella poisoning, which has symptoms including fever, diarrhea, abdominal cramping, nausea and vomiting and can develop up to 72 hours after eating tainted food.

The owner of Green Leafe Café in Williamsburg, Glenn Gormley, claims he has been receiving death threats after being blamed by some fans for the incident.

The food poisoning is still being investigated by health officials in Virgina.

Gormley says angry fans have been leaving him death threats, though TMZ reports that the owner would not go into the specific details of the threats.
