My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has announced that he is about to become a first-time father.

The singer's representative told the Associated Press that he and his wife Lindsey, the bassist for the band Mindless Self Indulgence, are expecting their first baby in early summer 2009.

The couple were married on September 4, 2007 at a ceremony that took place backstage at a concert in Denver.

i think its fantastic that gerard and lindsay are having a baby. i dont see why you have a problem with this thier baby will be absolutly Gorgeous !!!!!!!!! they will be awesome parents CONGRATS TO THEM !!!!!!!!!!! XO

to everybody who thinks that My Chemical Romance are emo: they're not. I admit that they have some fans who dye their hair black, wear only black clothes and cut theirselves, or even commit suicide. But these people have problems, they're unhappy or depressed because of bad family situations, trouble at school, or other. Ask yourself: what is emo music? The most likely answer is: music with emotional lyrics, or just emotional music. Well, my friends, ain't music art? And isn't art supposed to be emotional? Compare it with a painting, if you don't feel anything when you see it, it's not a good painting anymore, is it? And what's wrong with being fascinated by death? Admit it, you're curious too. How and when will it happen? How wil it feel? Is there a kind of afterlife? By the way, in Famous Last Words, the last song of The Black Parade, Gerard sings literally: "I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone"

i'd like to point out that none of My Chemical Romance are responsible for their fans' actions. If a teen slits their wrists listening to MCR, it's not the band's fault. there many who DON't, while listening to MCR. plus, everybody gets something different out of music, so people will have different reactions.on the topic of Gerard, Lindsey and the child, many congratulations, and i hope the baby has a better name than mowgli.P.S they are not emo.
