My Morning Jacket to perform with Chicago orchestra
The Youth symphony will join band at Lollapalooza
My Morning Jacket are set to perform with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra at this year’s Lollapalooza festival.
Following their collaboration with the orchestra last November, the band will again invite the orchestra to participate in their set at the festival taking place in Grant’s Park, Chicago on August 5.
The orchestra features musicians from as young as aged seven, and according to My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James, “It is hard to even think of them as ‘youth.’ Their playing is so ‘grown-up’ and professional. They hit with diamond-like precision”.
