Mystery Jets and The Metros play illegal squat party Mystery Jets Tickets

Huge London bash eventually shut down by the police

Mystery Jets and The Metros performed at an illegal squat party on Friday (September 14) in London, which was eventually shut down by the police.

The bands involved had sent out messages via their MySpace pages to fans hours in advance of the bash, and as such the venue, an abandoned factory in the Elephant And Castle area of London, was packed full of fans.

Also performing at the party were South London precision-rockers Talk Taxis, plus grot-rock band Ratty Rat Rat, who live in the squat.

The Metros played an energetic set which included crowd-pleaser ‘Live A Little’ and ‘Talk About It’, while Mystery Jets’ high-octane performance was bolstered by fans invading the makeshift stage.

The band finished performing at around 1am BST, soon after which police ordered attendees to leave after numerous complaints from neighbours.
