Mystery Jets bass player Kai Fish has announced details of his debut solo album.

Fish - on the far right in the picture above - has made three albums with the London indie favourites, as well as writing tunes for the likes of Mark Ronson and The Count And Sinden.

Now, he is ready to take his own first solo steps with the release of 'Life In Monochrome' on September 26, through Music For Wolves. A taster track, 'Cobalt Cheeks', is now available for download.

The collection, described as "introspective," is influenced by a long lineage of British songwriters from Ray Davies to Damon Albarn. It was apparently borne out of a period of transition in Fish's life, which saw the break-up a six-year relationship and the beginning of a new one, which quickly led to marriage.

The tracklisting for 'Life In Monochrome' is:

'Erasing The Young'
'Dig Your Own Well'
'Secret Garden'
'Windows In Mirrors'
'Real Life'
'Cobalt Cheeks'
'Hiroshima Of The Heart'
'Homerton Baby'
'Solar Plexus Of The World'
'My Anima'
'Crystal Curtains'
